Ginny Potter Full Name: Ginevra Molly "Ginny" Potter (Née Weasley)
Gender: Female
Birthday: 11th August 1981
Age: 34
Blood: Pureblood
Birth Place: Britain
Nationality: British
Current Residence: Godrics Hollow
Family: Ginny was born into the large Weasley family. She is the youngest child and only daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley. She has six older brothers who always look out for her. Her brothers are called Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George and Ron, ranging from oldest to youngest respectively.
Ginny is now married to Harry Potter and together they have three children. Two boys; Albus Severus and James Sirius. And a girl; Lily Luna. As Harry is godfather to Remus and Tonks Lupins' son, Teddy, she could be classed as Godmother to the boy.
History: Ginny is the youngest member of the Weasley children. She is the only daughter of Molly and Arthur Weasley and has six older brothers. She grew up in the Burrow just outside Ottery St. Catchpole with her family, including their resident ghoul that lives in the attic. Ginny was always desperate to attend Hogwarts, even asking to go there a year early with her brother Ron.
Ginny's first year was interesting to say the least. She had trouble making friends and her brothers didn't seem to want to spend time with her as they were always shooing her away. She discovered Tom Riddle's diary in amongst her school things and began writing in it. To her amazement, the diary wrote back, and she started to confide in Tom Riddle's memory, writing about how her brothers teased her, how she had to come to school with second-hand robes and books, and how she thought that Harry would never like her. She poured her heart out to the diary, and told Tom's memory all about Harry's story. In confiding in the diary her deepest fears and secrets, Ginny became increasingly vulnerable to Tom Riddle's memory, which began to pour a little of his own soul back into her and slowly started to influence her. Soon, the memory of Tom Riddle was able to take full control of Ginny and used her to open the Chamber of Secrets, releasing the basilisk, which then petrified Argus Filch's cat, Mrs Norris. The memory of Tom Riddle had fed off her, gaining enough strength to become corporeal. As Tom grew stronger, the life in Ginny faded away until she slipped into an unconscious state. She woke up in the Chamber of Secrets and discovered that Harry had saved her.
In her fourth year, Ginny attended the Yule Ball with Neville Longbottom, but only as friends. She met Michael Corner at the Ball and they soon started dating. This same year was when the Order of the Phoenix was restarted and she was the only person to be banished from the kitchen whenever one of the meetings took place after Sirius had started filling Harry in on what was happening. Ginny joined the DA, bringing her boyfriend Michael along to join too. It was there that it became clear that she was very skilled at spell casting as she mastered the reducto spell quite quickly. She was also the person to actually name the group Dumbledore's Army.
Ginny and Michael broke up in the summer of her fourth year. So during her fifth year, Ginny was caught kissing Dean Thomas- one of Harry and Ron's friends. Ginny and Dean went through a rocky patch, which became more evident when she turned up to Slughorn's party with a tearstained face, a sign that she had clearly been crying due to another argument with Dean. It was unlike Ginny to cry over anything, expecially something as daft as a boy. Her and Dean split up in April and she got closer to her brother and his friends- including Harry.
Everything that has happened to Ginny, made her become the strong woman that she is today. She is able to joke about being possessed by Voldemort and will still stand up for her family no matter what trouble it will get her in. She refuses to let her feelings cloud her judgement and will never let anybody think for her.
Since graduating Hogwarts, Ginny has managed to achieve her dream of becoming a Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies, an all-female Quidditch Team. She has also married her childhood crush, Harry Potter and had three children with him, who she loves greatly.
Appearance: Ginny has the signature Weasley red hair which is straight and rests just past her shoulders. She has light brown eyes and is of average size, though keeps in good shape due to her intense Quidditch training.
Personality: Ginny is a forceful, independent girl who knows her own mind. Growing up with six older brothers toughened her up, and Ginny was not afraid to stand up to anybody, friends and enemies alike. Notably, she stood up to Draco Malfoy on their first meeting in Flourish and Blotts when he insulted Harry in The Chamber of Secrets. Also, she could be harsh towards those whom she disliked; for instance, she made fun of Fleur Delacour behind her back when she first became engaged to Bill, and both hexed and crashed into Zacharias Smith when he irritated and insulted her on two separate occasions during her fifth year. Ginny can be very sarcastic to people but can also be quick witted and funny, able to cheer people up when they are down. Although she hid it from her brothers, Ginny was also an accomplished flier and made the Gryffindor House team in her fourth and fifth years, playing as both Chaser and reserve Seeker. She now plays as Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies and has worked hard to get where she is now. She is also very good at imitating people, for example, in their first D.A meeting, Ginny coughed exactly like Professor Umbridge does, scaring the students who had attended. Ginny is always trying to prove herself to everybody, as she feels outshone by all of her brothers. Even now when she doesn't have to prove herself to anybody, she still feels slightly self conscious about herself and whether she is good enough- especially for her husband Harry.
Likes: Quidditch. Ginny loves all things Quidditch. It must run through the family as a lot of her brothers had been on the school team at one point in their lives. She became a chaser in her fourth year and was co-captain to Harry Potter by her fifth year. Ginny is also an avid animal lover and names Ron's owl Pigwidgeon and then gets her own Pigmy Puff later in her Hogwarts life.
Dislikes: Ginny dislikes her family being overprotective of her. She knows that they are just looking out for her and that they don't want her to get hurt. But she hates not being able to try things out for herself as she has all of her brothers constantly watching over her. She also dislikes being underestimated because of her gender and her size. She has always been in her brothers' shadows and has had to prove herself on many occasions.
Strengths: Ginny is particularly good at Hexes, and her Bat-Bogey Hex has helped her gain respect from her elder brothers.
Weaknesses: Ginny has trouble with controlling her temper sometimes. It must be because of her red hair but she finds it hard to keep calm when somebody has annoyed her.
One minute left in the game. One minute and they were 151 points down. The Holyhead Harpies hadn't lost a game in years; and they weren't going to start losing now. But this seemed as if it would be an easy defeat. The Harpies hadn't been at the top of their game. They took their eyes off the prize. The whistle blew and Ginny was away, swooping through the air, dodging past her opponent with ease. She threw the Quaffle. One pass. Two passes...and three. Back to her.
Ginny held the Quaffle in her arm and pulled her broomstick upwards, so she rose higher above the pitch. She stopped still and glanced down into the crowd, a smile covering her face as she saw Harry- her husband- cheering her on in the crowd. Ginny took a deep breath before leaning forward on her broom, forcing herself to dive closer and closer to the ground. At the last second, she pulled up, just skimming the grass with her feet. This was a move that Harry had taught her, and she had became rather good at it. She caught sight of the Snitch and jerked her head towards the Harpies' seeker, who instantly went chasing after it.
10 seconds left. Ginny rose upwards and threw the Quaffle, putting a curve on the throw so it looked as if it was going for the centre hoop, but would turn at the last second and go to the right one. Hopefully tricking the Keeper. She watched the ball soar through the air then pumped her fist in the air as it went straight past the Keeper and through the right hoop. Next thing she knew, a voice boomed thorough the speaker. "Holyhead Harpies have caught the Golden Snitch and win at an impressive 234 to 233."
The crowd erupted into cheers and Ginny made her way safely to the ground, where the team of women started to celebrate proudly.
