Humphrey Williams Full Name: Humphrey Stephen Williams
Gender: Male
Birthday: April 20th, 2001
Age: 15
Blood: Halfblood
Birth Place: Edinburgh, Scotland
Nationality: Scottish
Current Residence: Outskirts of Edinburgh, Scotland
Family:Humphrey has a little sister three years his junior named Casey who he has always been close and a tad bit protective of. She calls him out when needed and he does the same for her. When things get hard she is usually the one he goes to, and despite her being younger she nearly always comes through for him. Definitely someone intelligent who is very understanding.
His dad works at St. Mungo's as a healer and his mum is a muggle nurse, working locally in Edinburgh. His mum is rather strict but their dad is pretty easy going and doesn't push them too hard so long as they're not getting into trouble. Mainly he wants the both to enjoy their childhood and live a little.
One thing they did as a family was that their mum decided that they all should learn an instrument so they could do music together from time to time. Humphrey chose acoustic guitar, Casey piano, and his mother learned violin. His dad ended up being a bit more musically challenged, and ended up practicing vocals and the theory more, kind of leading them that way instead.
History: Humphrey grew up running around outside as much as he could. Him and his sister both love the outdoors and they are just far enough out of Edinburgh to have their own space to kind of be out in the country a little. When Humphrey was seven his family got a Red Husky named Alice. Casey probably bonded with the pup more than he did, but they both do their best to take care of her and include her on their forays out into the decent plot of land they owned. It even had a small pond that they both learned to swim in when they were old enough.
Going to Hogwarts without his little sis was probably the hardest thing Humphrey's had to deal with. They wrote letters as much as they could, but it was definitely a challenge not having her next door whenever he needed her and vice versa. Eventually she joined him of course, but having to learn how to get by without her had definitely been difficult.
Appearance: Humphrey has brown eyes, dirty blonde hair that's rather curly and messy most of the time that he keeps about eyebrow length or so in the front. He's thin, but has a solid layer of muscle in spite of that. Tends to dress casually and comfortably as much as possible. Whenever he can get away with it he's wearing jeans or shorts, his favorite pair of green high-top converse, and t-shirts. Having to wear a uniform is rather frustrating, because he'd much rather himself and others just wear what they want. Feels it kind of takes away the individuality of things.
Personality: As far as his likes Humphrey likes his sister Casey, of course. Playing guitar and even writing a song or two, going for runs, pulling an occasional prank though always ones for laughter and not cruel, making corny jokes and puns when possible, and just generally trying to enjoy what life brings him.
His dislikes, well it really bugs him when people treat each other poorly because of blood status. Bullying in general always upsets him and he tries to stop it when possible. Despises lima beans and brussel sprouts. Even though he works hard at his classes doesn't particularly enjoy most of them, he wants to be outside running around or swimming in the lake more often than not.
Strengths for him would be his kindness and compassion for sure. His willingness to help others and works well in teams when he has to. Definitely a creative type, doesn't always come up with the same way of doing things as others, but almost always gets there in the end.
Weaknesses would probably be his self-esteem. It's not that he really dislikes himself but he just is a bit hesitant and not always as confident as he should be when needed. Tends to be a bit too trusting in general as he tries to think the best of people, which is a weakness that can definitely be exploited.
"So, what was Hogwarts like Humphrey? Do they really have all those portraits on the walls and a giant squid in the lake?" Casey asked her older brother when he'd gotten home for the summer after his first year at Hogwarts, eyes bright with curiosity. Humphrey smiled at the question, laughing at her enthusiasm and the way she was bouncing up and down on her bed slightly. "It was awesome, sis. The house-elves work really hard to make sure we have delicious meals every day, the classes are really interesting and the teachers are pretty nice. Meetings lots of other people my age and older was fun, lots of chances to make friends. And yeah, there are tons of portraits to talk to and watch you, and a nice big squid in the lake. Hogwarts is a hard place to pin down with words, but I know you're going to love it when you get there Casey." he told her honestly, and ruffled her long blond hair before giving her a big hug. "I'll tell you one thing, though...I really, really missed you."
