Family: Born as one of the Death Eater's only child, he was practically ostracized by his own families, especially for being born out of wedlock. He was ostracized to the point of only knowing that he has a father and a dead mother. However, Cernunnos didn't really care just as long as he still got attention from his father. Thanks to him being born, he practically caused his father to be named a "blood traitor" by his colleagues which didn't really help with the fact that Cernunnos's mother is fully out of the picture.
History: It was a starry, starry night and there he was freshly out of the womb in a forest with his mother being under the cruciatus curse by his own father. He was only a few minutes old and his father had murdered his mother right in front of him. It was a crude sight, but there was no one there to witness it and his father had officially gotten away with murder. Cernunnos was given quite a name out of his dad's own ego.
His childhood was practically a blur; Cernunnos only ever remembered the parts of his childhood where he had witnessed his father torturing people out of his own corrupted, psychopathic tendencies. It surely didn't help him any considering the fact that he often heard his father boasting about getting away with murder numerous times to his colleagues often mentioning that he killed his own son's mother. The sight of seeing all sorts of people in pain had horrified him, and he couldn't comprehend how his father would enjoy doing stuff like that. On his eleventh birthday, Cernunnos got his letter to go to Hogwarts, and he was beyond elated to know that he wouldn't have to witness his father performing cruel acts as often as he did.
Once he had started to attend Hogwarts, he often found himself writing letters to his father talking about his feelings of nervousness and loneliness in his new school. Hogwarts was completely different in comparison to the Muggle schools he had gone to before hand because his father didn't have all of the luxuries his relatives had due to living in London. Cernunnos had almost no friends until he had met Arivante Rasputin one day at school with them becoming quick friends. they were like brothers due to Ari's orphaned life and the fact that Cernunnos just happened to be on only child. One day when they were hanging out at his house, they had come across Cernunnos's dad's collection of gay porn causing him to realize that he was gay with the help of his friend, who happened to be very desensitized. Starting on that day, Cernunnos slowly became more of the person he currently is by losing his innocence at a young age due to his only friend's influence. In his third year of Hogwarts, he attempted to dress more girly whenever he wasn't in his uniform since that was how he always dressed back at home since he was a young kid who considered the Britney Spears album
Blackout to be his Bible with Bratz dolls in hand. It was later on in his third year when one could say that he was beginning to take a turn for the worst. Sure, he had lived off of his father's attention due to being his only family, but he was starting to go through a complex, a complex that'd turn ugly before he even knew it. It all started with very subtle actions such as accidentally bumping into his father's more inappropriate parts along with trying to get a glimpse of him whenever he could. Obviously, that only ever happened during summer break because he never really went home for the shorter breaks until his fifth year. He often had conflicting thoughts and feelings due to the huge crush he had developed on Albus during his second year and the feelings he had begun to develop for his own father. One could say that Cernunnos was starting to go down into a slippery slope; he began drinking underage, picked up a smoking habit, and started to become promiscuous in hopes of filling the needs he had been developing. Stuff that was frowned upon was more appealing, and his father praised him whenever he was cold toward a person or acted a way the child of a Death Eater would. He began to take advantage of that fact causing him to slowly develop an ego which he hid through the shy kid image he had since he started going to Hogwarts. After a few years of absolutely being reckless at home while keeping the shy image at school, he found himself having a drunken one night stand with a girl the summer before his sixth year. He found himself being told that he just happened to be the father of an unborn child which had caused him to realize how short it can be before ruining one's own life. Cernunnos decided to take responsibility for something that had occurred when drunk and made the decision to might as well have fun both in and out of school while he could.
Cernunnos has a slim, tall frame that one would consider to be too skinny for a boy like him. Complementing his pale skin, ebony black hair frames his face well with his almond eyes. He can usually be seen wearing some Gothic style clothing with an androgynous flair although one can spy him wear anything from pink dresses with Betsey Johnson accessories to just a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants. He usually enjoys wearing slogan t-shirts with vulgar sayings trying to get a reaction out of people along with the fact that they can go with practically anything in his wardrobe.
Personality: Tending to be quiet and reserved, Cernunnos doesn't talk to many people and would only talk to those he's comfortable with or if he's forced to answer a question in class. It is a wonder how he's sane considering the environment he was forced to grow up in. In his free time, he enjoys reading and looking at the night sky. Cernunnos isn't a fan of loud noises, so he tends to dread events like Quidditch games and school fests due to the amount of noise from cheering and talking that can quickly fill up a space. Despite such quirks, it can be noted that depending on the state of his mental health, he can be one of the most outgoing people ever, especially making himself be a party animal with reckless and self-destructive habits. In his younger years, he mainly showed a more timid version of himself trying to repress the personalities he had developed over the years because of his childhood. The ones that tend to be shown are his shy, more kindhearted self and the personality others would consider to be "evil" where he is an absolutely ruthless bitch with a soft spot for few people. His biggest strength would be in Charms with his weakness being in divination.
Standing in front of a window at the Leaky Cauldron, Cernunnos lit up a cigarette and stuck it in his mouth taking a long drag before blowing out a puff of cigarette smoke. His head throbbed hearing many people conversing, but there was nothing he could really do. Sure, he could attempt to put up a silencing charm, but it probably wouldn't be that effective in the long run. it was almost the end of summer break, and Cernunnos couldn't stand to be in the same building as his father. He ended up spending all of summer break wasting away to nothing.
"Fuck," he muttered.
Cernunnos put out the lit-up cigarette and walked away from the Leaky Cauldron. He began to whisper to himself,
"I might as well take care of school shopping right now." Walking through Diagon Alley, he sighed dreading the crowded area filled with many students and their parents getting school supplies along with those who are just chilling out. It was too crowded for him to bear. Maybe he can find some peace and quiet...
